Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, spearheaded by Rahul Gandhi

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is set to launch the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, covering 6,200 kilometers from Manipur’s Thoubal district to Mumbai over two months. The Yatra, initially planned to begin in Imphal, will now start at 12 pm tomorrow from Khongjom War Memorial due to lack of permission from the Manipur government amid ongoing tensions. Congress expressed concern over the delay, citing the denial of permission as a hindrance to the Yatra’s scheduled commencement.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rahul_Gandhihttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rahul_Gandhi

Keisham Meghachandra, the Manipur president of Congress, stated, “On January 2, we proposed to the state government to permit the use of Hapta Kangjeibung public ground in Imphal for the inauguration of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. We had previously announced that the Yatra would commence from Imphal and conclude in Mumbai.”

Regarding the permission issue, Keisham Meghachandra explained, “Despite meeting Chief Minister N Biren Singh on January 10, we were initially denied permission. However, later that night, an order was issued granting limited access to Hapta Kangjeibung ground.”

As for the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge is set to inaugurate it in Manipur. Unfortunately, there is no information provided about the specific route of the Yatra in the given context.

Despite the change in the starting point, the route for the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra remains unchanged. The Yatra is set to conclude in Mumbai on March 20, covering a total distance of 6,713 kilometers across 110 districts in 15 states over 67 days.

Regarding the Yatra, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh emphasized, “The yatra is aimed at addressing political, economic, and social injustices of the past 10 years. While the prime minister promises a ‘golden era,’ the reality of the last decade has been an era of ‘injustice.’ There is no acknowledgment of this ‘injustice era’ amidst the grand claims of an ‘amrit kaal’.”
