CBSE asserts that there will be no extension of the deadline for submitting the list of candidates for board exams. Today marks the final day for the submission of the list of candidates (LOC) for the CBSE Board Exams in 2024. Find out how to submit your CBSE LOC promptly, as there are no plans for further deadline extensions.

Today, the deadline for submitting the list of candidates (LOC) for CBSE Board Exams in 2024 has arrived. In its latest notice, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has unequivocally stated that no further extensions will be granted. Schools are urged to ensure prompt submission of the LOC by today.

Schools can conveniently submit their LOC through the e-pariksha portal, accessible on the CBSE website at cbse.gov.in. The original deadline for submission without late fees was September 18, 2023, and with late fees, it was September 19, 2023. However, CBSE extended the deadline to September 28 without late fees and September 29 with late fees. It is crucial for schools to accurately input student data to prevent any potential issues for the students down the line.

CBSE has mandated that schools must upload photographs of their students during Class 9 and 11 registration before the final submission of the LOC. Schools submitting the LOC after the initial deadline of September 18 will incur a late fee of ‘2000/- per candidate in addition to the regular fee outlined in the notice. The practical fees for Class 12 are ‘150/- per subject per candidate for schools in India and Nepal, while for schools abroad, it is ‘350/- per practical subject per candidate. Furthermore, the fee for a migration certificate stands at ‘350/- per candidate. Notably, visually impaired candidates are exempt from paying examination fees for Class 10 and 12.

Here’s how to submit CBSE LOC online:

  1. Go to the official website at cbse.gov.in.
  2. Click on the “Pariksha Sangam” tab.
  3. A new page will open.
  4. Select the ‘LOC Class X, XII’ option.
  5. Log in using your school user ID and password.
  6. Proceed to fill in the LOC details for your students.

Subject changes are strictly prohibited as per CBSE guidelines. Schools are strongly advised to ensure accurate subject combinations and subject codes during LOC submission. The board will not entertain any requests for subject changes. However, candidates or parents can apply for subject changes until August 31. Schools are responsible for completing the procedure and implementing the necessary subject changes in the LOCs by August 31.

In a prior circular, CBSE disseminated guidelines and deadlines for LOC submissions. According to the notice, schools are permitted to admit students directly into classes 10th and 12th until August 31. Schools must compile all cases of direct admissions and submit them to the respective CBSE regional offices by the same August 31 deadline.

Students engaging in sports and Olympiad activities should forward their requests by December 31st. Schools must then submit their recommendations to either the Sports Authority of India or the Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education for their endorsements. CBSE has mandated that all relevant details be transmitted to the respective authorities by the December 31st deadline.
